Hazel Heptinstall
Hazel Heptinstall is the senior partner and qualified as a solicitor in 2006 after gaining a Law degree (LLB) at Anglia Ruskin University (formerly Anglia Polytechnic University). Hazel went on to gain a distinction in her Legal Practice course. Hazel completed her training contract at Hunt & Hunt Solicitors in Romford and left in 2010 to establish HSH Solicitors, initially as the sole principal running the business herself from the offices at 98-102 North Street, Romford and subsequently as a partnership in 2011.
Hazel is regularly instructed on divorce, separation and family matters in relation to finances and children as well as specialising in probate and contentious probate matters. Hazel often works for high net worth clients as well as those with more modest assets.
Under Hazel’s stewardship and with the continued ethos of focusing on and working for the local community in a range of areas, many of our referrals come from existing clients and previous clients.
Scott Heptinstall
Scott Heptinstall became a non-solicitor partner of the firm in August 2021 and joined the firm as Practice Manager in October 2020. Before joining HSH Solicitors, Scott was Deputy Senior Clerk at a top London set of Barristers Chambers within the Temple. Scott enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports and attends gigs occasionally.
Rukiya Al busaidy
Rukiya is a Solicitor and Joined the family law department in March 2024. She completed her undergraduate law degree at the University of Greenwich and graduated with her LLB Honours in 2017. Rukiya subsequently completed her LPC and Master’s in law at the University of Law in 2018.
Following the completion of her LPC and Masters Rukiya went on to commence work as a family paralegal for 2 years before obtaining a Training Contract at a London Law Firm. Rukiya has experience in various areas of family law.
Rukiya is fluent in English and Swahili. Rukiya enjoys reading and hiking in her spare time.
Sabeka Khanom
Sabeka Khanom is a Solicitor and Head of Conveyancing at HSH Solicitors. Sabeka completed her law degree at London Southbank University, graduating with LLB Honours. Sabeka went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law before qualifying as a Solicitor. Sabeka joined the firm in 2021, before which she worked in London law firms.
Sabeka has over ten years of experience in the property department and specialises in residential and commercial property transactions. Sabeka has acted for a broad spectrum of clients over a decade of working in the heart of London.
Yumna Malik
Yumna graduated from Swansea University with an LLB and LLM in Law before specialising in Family Law. She qualified at a boutique London firm and has experience across a broad range of matrimonial matters, including private children’s proceedings and financial remedy matters. Yumna adopts a sensitive and proactive approach to every case, ensuring that each client’s individual needs and priorities are carefully addressed.
Outside of work, Yumna enjoys travelling and baking.
